We are currently working on a couple of projects like; growing
a large edible herb and vegetable garden which is based on organic principles
and which we will harvest for meals, planting an orchard so we can eat our
own fruit and preserve the surplus for the winter season, raising dairy
calves with the intention of having them as friendly dairy cows which we will
hand milk to produce our own dairy products and raising rabbits. Meanderine specialises in breeding donkeys, and 1st and 2nd
generation labradoodles (dogs) although we also breed a wide variety of other
animals including cattle, sheep, ducks, geese, doves, pigeons and about 12
different varieties of rare breed chickens. We also have cats. We have over
500 animals when we include the goldfish! Guests are welcome to help with
hand feeding our many tame animals. All throughout the year young animals are
being born. Activities for the guests include collecting eggs, feeding the
animals, use of our bikes for bike riding, use of golf clubs for some on-farm
practice or to take to the Rangiora golf club, target shooting (additional
cost), star gazing, horse, pony and donkey riding (additional cost for all
riding) & getting involved in our farm projects. Activities: ·
